Oana Ghiocel

Oana Ghiocel is a Romanian-American documentary filmmaker, editor, producer and screenwriter whose work spans science, adventure, nature and under-explored stories. After immigrating to the United States as a teenager, she earned a BA in Screenwriting, an MA in Documentary Film and Production, and a certificate in editing. She founded Oana Ghiocel Media in 2018, which produces original factual content for international broadcasters and global platforms. Her notable feature documentaries include The Mystery of the Carpathian Sphinx (2014) and The Bear Cult (2015), each seen by millions worldwide. With her creative focus rooted in both Romania and the United States, Oana works to bring hidden narratives and ancient enigmas into public awareness.
